Finding the Right Reference for Your Memorial Portrait
The photograph you choose is an important part of creating a memorial portrait, but it doesn't necessarily have to be a professionally taken image. What matters most is that I can clearly see the subject and that the photograph captures something meaningful to you.
Choose photographs where the face is reasonably clear and the expression feels natural. A photograph that reminds you immediately of the person or pet is often a good place to start.
Look for Expression and Clarity
You don't have to choose the final photograph yourself. Sending two to four photographs can give me a better understanding of appearance, coloring, personality, and expression. I'll help you determine which image—or combination of images—will work best.
